Our projects

FOOD KITCHEN

The mobile kitchen originally launched in Bradford in December 2012. In April 2013 we launched in InTouch Keighley and in May 2014 we launched InTouch Leeds. We are now looking to work with local teams to expand our project into neighbouring cities. Since the project launched - across the cities we have distributed in excess of 200,000 meals.

The aim of the mobile kitchen is to provide hot food and drinks to people that are either living in poverty or are homeless. We provide cooked meals which normally consist of a chicken biryani along with raita and bread. We also provide hot drink drinks which include hot chocolate, tea, coffee along with biscuits, cake and fruit.
We have been truly humbled by the community spirit as volunteers and sponsors have come together to make the project a success.

PROJECT AYAAN
Previously known as InTouch Community is a Social welfare project being set up to promote community cohesion and work with those individuals who need our help the most locally and internationally.

Project Ayaana works with communities and other charities to inspire them to make a positive difference in their local community or internally.

Project Ayaana was set up in the memory of our Late Granddad Dr Mohammad Suliman who passed away in October 2014. Dr Suliman was a true humanitarian working as a field doctor in rural pakistan for over 50 years. His compassion and love to the most vulnerable inspired us to carry his legacy on.

Our overseas projects

ZAKAT

Every sane, adult Muslim whose wealth exceeds the value of nisab, must pay Zakat. Muslims very little or no income, who are new to Islam, in debt, stranded whilst travelling, working in the cause of Allah or in bondage, in addition to those who administer Zakat, are all entitled to receive Zakat.

At InTouch Foundation we take the responsibility of handling Zakat extremely seriously. We understand that paying Zakat is not simply an act of charity - it’s an act of worship. InTouch Foundation will ensure your donation will reach those most in need, both quickly and securely.

InTouch Foundation will distribute your Zakaat in 3 locations. One of our Zakat projects is UK based whilst the other two are Oversea's projects. Our Total Zakaat Target is £70,000 (per year)

MARRIAGE SUPPORT PROJECT

Due to crushing poverty, countless families in South Asian countries are unable to have their daughters and sisters get married. Unfortunately, due to societal pressures, it is not uncommon for people to resort to extreme measures such as committing suicide.

InTouch Foundation is launching a marriage project in Pakistan to support families in these difficult situations by providing basic items according to the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) necessary for newlywed girls, including some clothing, utensils, bedding and more, along with some financial assistance to offset marriage expenses.

InTouch Foundation will assist in covering the cost of the marriage, depending on the region and local requirements. The marriage maybe held individually or where there are a number of couples in a particular region group weddings may take place. Depending on the region, it costs approximately £300 for the wedding day and a further £200-£300 for the gifts to support the marriage of one young woman/man.

GHANA

InTouch Foundation work with stakeholder's to create sustainable means of livelihoods programme and nutrition for vulnerable communities. We will help families living in poverty establish an enterprise that will help them become financially independent. We will provide financial support to help the community of Kumasi, Ghana establish chicken and cow farms.

In 2016 InTouch Foundation in partnership with Ustadh Alyas karmani distributed over 2000 Eid food packs to poor families in Ghana.

Eid meals distributed to 500 prisoners both muslims and non muslims in the local prison. Manhyia, Ghana. Over 700 InTouch Foundation qurbani food packs distributed in Ghana to families in need in rural villages. Alhamdulillah the atmosphere and excitement is amazing.
